Homeopathy and conventional medicine can complement each other well and may be taken simultaneously. There is no evidence to suggest that homeopathic medicines interfere with prescription drugs or dietary supplements. The opposite is not true – conventional drugs can interfere with homeopathic remedies. Steroids, tranquilizers, oral contraceptives, sleeping pills, antihistamines, as well as antibiotics may affect or block the effects of homeopathic remedies. Even so, never stop taking a prescribed drug without talking to your health care practitioner first.
