Choose a remedy: Choose the most prominent childhood diarrhea symptoms. If symptoms change, take a remedy that matches your new symptoms.
Dosage: Give one 12X or 30C dose after each round of diarrhea. Doses automatically become less as diarrhea decreases.*
- If no improvement after a few doses, try a different remedy that more closely matches symptoms
Notes:
- Infants can easily become dehydrated. Seek professional help if your infant’s diarrhea continues and fluids are not tolerated for more than 12 hours. In an older child, seek help if diarrhea goes for longer than a week or if there is exhaustion and loss of skin tone/sunken eyes and urine output is diminished.
- Seek help if there is diarrhea with abdominal pain that is getting worse or there is bloody stool.
- If a self-selected remedy – however well indicated – doesn’t help and symptoms are more serious than you expect, you need to seek medical expertise. A doctor will provide a diagnosis and/or a professional homeopath can evaluate your symptoms in the context of your whole person.
