Choose a remedy: No one has all the headache symptoms so choose based on the most prominent ones. If symptoms change, take a remedy that matches your new symptoms.

Dosage: At onset of symptoms, take 12C, 30C or 200C and repeat every hour up to three doses, unless specified otherwise below. Or, see the Dosage Chart

When symptoms improve, stop taking the remedy.
If no improvement after three doses, try a different remedy that more closely matches your symptoms

Notes:

If headaches are chronic and your health care provider has found no physiological basis, see a professional homeopath to get to the root of the imbalance causing them.
Headaches that follow a head injury with excess sleepiness, nausea, vomiting, mental confusion require immediate medical attention.
Treating headaches homeopathically can be very difficult if you are on conventional medicines (or coffee drinker) as these can change symptom patterns, create side-effects, cause rebound headaches when stopped and possibly antidote homeopathic remedies.
